Ventrelles are a Manchester-based quartet headed by Phil Knox, fusing the styles of 80’s guitar groups such as Pale Fountains and Echo and the Bunnymen and sometimes darker tinged edges of The Chameleons and The Jesus and Mary Chain with a punchy delivery, sun-soaked guitars, energetic rhythms, life-affirming vocals and soulful bass lines.

Shines’ debut album How It Ends, released in April 2024, is the long-overdue collaboration between Richard Dutton (vox) and Rob Cross (guitar), who previously fronted the So & So’s and Orphan Boy respectively. The result was a mesmerising collection of songs that mixes classic guitar pop (The Cure, The Stone Roses) with a modern, bedroom pop sound (The Drums, Castlebeat) and splashes of lyrical imagination (The Smiths, The Fall). Their potent and eclectic mix of song-writing and sound feels both familiar and original, with music that seems to exist between the genres, making nods to the past, belonging firmly in the present and pointing towards an exciting future if and when wider recognition arrives.

Hailing from Suffolk, the 25-year-old singer-songwriter and indie musician, Ryan Redwood, weaves poignant tales of young love and the struggles of life in a sleepy seaside town through his heartfelt lyrics. Evoking relatability, Ryan's music resonates deeply with audiences, capturing the essence of shared experiences.
